AI tarot reading the cards are calculated, the AI reads them

When you choose your birth date, your birth cards are worked out first. That calculation happens only in your browser and is sent nowhere.

When you choose a topic and draw, a hash is made from your birth date, the topic and today's date, and its numbers reorder the 22 cards. The cards you need are taken from the top, and another part of the hash decides whether each is upright or reversed. On the same day with the same inputs, the spread is always the same.

The cards and their positions, your birth cards, the topic and your question, if you wrote one, go through our server to the AI. The reading streams onto the page as it is written.

The AI gets the topic, the cards and which way up they are, the position names, your personality and soul cards, your birth date, your question if you wrote one, and whether you chose gentle or blunt. For compatibility it also gets the other person's birth date.

There is no field for your name or email, so we never handle them. The only thing our server keeps is a count of which topics were read and when. Birth dates, questions and the AI's text are not stored. The details are in the privacy policy.

The AI is asked to read from the traditional meaning of each card and the position meanings we set. It opens with a short answer to the topic, reads the cards in order, and ends with one thing you can do in the next few days.

It is also told never to present a reversed card as a prophecy of misfortune and never to give firm medical, legal or investment advice. A blunt reading says uncomfortable things plainly, without blaming anyone.

Ask ChatGPT to pull a tarot card and it picks the card while it writes. The card is part of the text, so asking the same question again gives a different card each time.

Here the cards are fixed by calculation first and the AI only reads them. The same day gives the same cards, so there is no drawing again until you like the answer. You also do not need to write a prompt: pick your birth date and a topic.

The AI's text combines the meanings of the cards and applies them to your situation. It cannot read your face the way a human reader can, but it reads the same card by the same standard every time, so its interpretation does not drift.
