How do they feel about you? Three cards on their real feelings
Kind in person, distant over text. When someone's words and behavior do not match, you want to know what they really feel. This reading puts what they show you and what they keep to themselves in separate places, then looks at where the two of you are heading.
Your reading
Reading your cards
The three-card spread for someone's feelings
What makes this spread work is that the visible feeling and the real feeling sit apart. If the two cards point the same way, they mean what they show. If they differ, the gap itself explains the relationship.
What they show
The way they act with you, and what anyone could see from outside. Compare it with how often they reply and how they are when you meet.
What they really feel
What sits deeper, often unspoken even to themselves. A different card here than in the first place is common. Reversed, the feeling exists but they cannot let it out.
Where the two of you are heading
Where things go if the feelings stay as they are. This part changes with how the hidden feeling is handled, so try not to live and die by this card alone.
Cards that are easy to misread here
These six cards come up often when you ask about someone's feelings, and their meaning is easy to get wrong.
The Moon
Their feelings are unsettled and they have not sorted them out. It does not mean there is no interest; read it as doubt.
The High Priestess
Someone careful who does not show their hand. They are interested, and they are watching how you move.
The Lovers
Upright, the attraction is clear. Reversed, they like you and hesitate at the same time.
The Hermit
They need time on their own. Even if it feels like distance, the reason may have nothing to do with you.
The Emperor
They are serious about the relationship. That seriousness can come across as few words and a stiff manner.
Strength
They are holding their feelings back and trying to treat you well. There may be patience hiding behind the kindness.
Sample reading: they have gone quiet
What they show is the Wheel of Fortune, reversed. The timing is off and they are unsure how to move things forward with you. Fewer messages do not have to mean the feeling has cooled.
Their real feeling is Strength. They care about you and want to let it grow without rushing. This card trusts gentle attention more than pressure.
Where you are heading is Temperance, a pace that settles as you both meet halfway. Do not hold the gaps between replies against them, and give the time you spend together your full attention.

When they do not text back
For questions about messages, read the first card as how they are replying and the second as why they are not. If the Hermit or the Hanged Man turns up, something on their side is keeping them from moving. The High Priestess means they are still watching and waiting.
If you need a clear answer on whether to message them now, the yes or no tarot answers that in one card.
How does my ex feel about me now?
These three cards work for an ex too. If you also want to know whether you could get back together, the will my ex come back reading starts from why it ended, which gets closer to that answer.
Questions about reading someone's feelings
Do I need their birth date?
No. This topic only uses yours. If you want to combine both birth dates, use tarot compatibility.
The first and second cards say opposite things.
That happens a lot. The gap between how they act and what they feel is itself a picture of them right now. Ask why the two differ, and read the third card with that in mind.
What changes if I choose blunt?
With the same cards, the reading says plainly where you should not expect too much and what you could change on your side. If you are already feeling low, choose gentle.
Can the cards really tell what someone feels?
They show a tendency in the other person's feelings, not a certainty. Hold the reading up against what they actually say and do. Why readings feel accurate is explained in is tarot accurate.
